I'm sure many of you read the
Weekly Update in which Luke gave details about the new Bungie Favorites program. To put it very basically, various Halo sites will be collecting Halo 3 content from it's members, and then submitting the best of the best to Bungie. The winners will have their content posted to Bungie Favorites on Xbox Live, and in turn viewed by hundreds, maybe even seven hundreds of people!
Here are the areas of content you can submit:
- Screenshots
- Saved Films
- Gametypes
- Map Variants
How to Submit - READ CAREFULLY
Before going into how, I want to clarify, that to keep from spamming, we will be restricting the number of submissions in each category to
5. (So you can submit 5, screenshots, 5 saved films, etc...)
To submit a screenshot...
Simply upload it to the
Bungie Favorites Gallery. That's it!
When uploading images, you MUST include the link to the Bungie.net screenshot page you got it from in the discussions. This way we can prove you're the one who took the screenshot. Please put this link in the image description.
Here is a nice shiny picture of EXACTLY what to choose when you upload EVERY submission.
Please note that just because an image gets high ratings or lots of views doesn't mean it's going to get submitted to Bungie... but it sure does help!
To submit everything else...
Please send an organized email containing your HBN membername, gamertag, and links to the appropriate submissions on your fileshare to:
Any questions, please post them here.

Update #2
Apparently members are having trouble comprehending that when they upload their submissions, they have to actually upload them to the "Bungie Favorites Submissions" gallery. So I added the image above to guide on submitting the screenshots.

Update #1
It was brought up that the max image size of the gallery is smaller than the 1920x1080 screenshot size for Halo 3. This does NOT mean you can't upload your screenshots! However when you upload an image larger than the max size (which is 1027x768) the gallery will size down the largest side and preserve the aspect ratio so when you click on the image, it is not massive and annoying.
Here is an example (click on each image to see the difference):
- Full-Size Image*
- Auto-Resized Image*
*If you don't see the flash window frame when you click on the image, click on them from my main gallery,
here.
If you guys would prefer to have the max image size raised, I suppose I would be willing to change it, but it would suck for people who don't have huge displays!
