Here's another Lara pic I did recently. I was pretty satisfied with this one. Her torso still seems a bit too long to me. The arm length and elbow/ hip/ hand placements are all correct in relation to each other. I think it's more in my placement of the bottom of her ribcage, rather than the overall length. I dunno. That's something I can adjust in Photoshop if I ever get around to finishing it off.

I also included a closeup of the face/upper body. Faces have always been the hardest thing for me, but this one turned out decently. Making a female face pretty, yet resolute, is always hard.

This is great, I personally like this better than your other one. The face is pretty much perfect... I've tried doing that so many times but it never works. >.<
I personally don't see much wrong with the torso, although many of my drawings of females tend to include a torso that is too long, so I really don't know what I'm talking about. Although, there's something about her backside that doesn't seem right to me. It's hard for me to place how she's standing as I can't see her belly-button. I can see that she's twisting around, but there's something about it that just doesn't seem right. Maybe it's just me.

Amazing work overall. I'm still envious of your face-drawing skills.

Dear god, this chick is TALL! seriously, she looks to be about Master Chief's height! I think it's because, like you mentioned, the torso looks a bit extended. I think it is, in fact, too long. It seems as though her waist has been stretched vertically. Considering her long legs, though, it's in proportion. It's up to you whether or not to shorten the space between her hips and her ribcage.

In truth, I actually think that she is correct- for a comic character. A normal human is 8 heads tall. A typical comic character is a full 10 heads tall. With that in mind, I guess she's proportionately correct... in some alternate dimension.
