The bringer of bacon, as it were, is a creation centuries old. Kap holds the torch now.

And you thought they smelled bad...on the OUTSIDE!

Well, you raincoaters are getting a taste of real winter, just as we get every year. Thing is, we're getting it too, only proportionately worse. 2 feet down and 2 more coming by midweek. Difference is, we're used to it. I've been reading of deaths and injuries in Vancouver (which you can probably see on a clear day). "Snow tires? What are snow tires?" one of them said.
However, don't feel bad. Las Vegas got 6 inches too, and they can barely have imagined that happening EVER.
Guess all you Al Gore fans are starting to realize your errors, huh? hehehehe..

Yay I'm still connected to the tubes...

Funny thing is PB, I used to live in Nevada, and in my part of the state we got about 3 feet of snow in early November each year, and it stuck around through Valentine's day. Vegas was at the opposite end of the state from where I lived, and they never once got snow while I lived in Nevada.

I'm used to snow, just not this wind. Each snow-flake is like an itty-bitty ninja star. I swear, every time I go outside, my skin turns to hamburger meat.

Yup, a bit of snow in one region of the world has definitely made me look like a chump for agreeing with Al Gore on the occasional political/environmental stance.

Yeah. a bit of snow in a little area that hasn't had any for 15,000 years. Pretty normal, ain't it? I must agree, the climate is changing regionally, if not globally. Too hot here and too cold in the southwest. 2012 is just around the corner, so prepare!

Heh..I know what you mean about the windchill, 2phast. It can slice through a parka like a splaser through a prime steak, and the snow really does sting (though ice pellets are worse). That's why I have a nice scarf for such days. Also glasses of some kind, as you'll know it when one hits your poor exposed eyeball!

It's called El Nino. You know, that thing that people think is Global Warming? The weather changing phenomena that's actually real?

We have about 3 feet right now with 2 more storms on the way. Snow today and Tuesday. I wonder how long I can survive on the food I have in my house.

El Nino and La Nina are to do with droughts and floods, not temperature.

Regardless...neither of those things are in effect this year.

The two can cause droughts and floods, but the are themselves massive, temporary climate changes.
